It was a fruitful day for the Americans. 3rd seed Jessica Pegula triumphed over qualifier Martina Trevisan with a score of 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-3. 7th seed Coco Gauff bested Mayar Sherif 6-2, 6-2 during the night.

The Masters 1000 tournament, which has been hosted in Cincinnati since 1899, stands as the city’s oldest professional tournament. Its future, however, seems uncertain as there’s potential for relocation to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2026.
