OpenAI Launches Web Browsing Option In ChatGPT, Expanding Its Capabilities Further, Know Details

OpenAI has introduced a web browsing feature for ChatGPT, expanding its capabilities beyond the previous September 2021 data cutoff. This enhancement enables ChatGPT users to access web content, significantly broadening the range of information it can provide. However, OpenAI has implemented controls to allow websites to manage how ChatGPT interacts with their content.
Initially, the web browsing feature is available to Plus and Enterprise users, with plans to roll it out to all users in the near future. To activate this feature, users can select “Browse with Bing” from the GPT-4 interface.
This development comes alongside a significant update announced earlier, allowing ChatGPT to engage in voice conversations with users and interact using images, bringing it closer to popular AI assistants like Apple’s Siri.
Previously, OpenAI had experimented with integrating Bing search engine access within the ChatGPT Plus offering, providing users with the latest information. However, this feature was later disabled due to concerns that it might facilitate bypassing paywalls.

ChatGPT has gained popularity for its ability to generate human-like text and hold text-based conversations, making it a valuable tool for developers and businesses looking to create intelligent and interactive chatbots or virtual assistants.
ChatGPT has experienced unprecedented growth in user adoption, becoming the fastest-growing consumer application in history and reaching 100 million monthly active users in January. This rise in popularity has garnered increased investor interest, leading to discussions about a possible sale of existing shares at a substantially higher valuation compared to just a few months ago. OpenAI’s innovations in AI technology continue to reshape the landscape of conversational AI and human-computer interactions.
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a language model developed by OpenAI. It belongs to the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) family of models, which are designed to understand and generate human-like text based on the input it receives. ChatGPT is specifically trained for natural language understanding and generation, making it well-suited for tasks related to conversation and text generation.
It’s capable of engaging in text-based conversations, answering questions, providing explanations, and generating coherent and contextually relevant text. ChatGPT can be used in a wide range of applications, including chatbots, virtual assistants, content generation, language translation, and more.
OpenAI has trained several versions of ChatGPT, with each iteration improving upon the previous one in terms of language understanding, coherence, and contextual awareness. Users can interact with ChatGPT through various interfaces or integrate it into their applications and services.
